SQE1 & QWE COMBINATION
The Freedom Law Clinic provides a unique offering by combining SQE training with Qualifying Work Experience (QWE). This approach is particularly valuable because it allows students to gain practical experience while they study for the SQE exams, thereby meeting both requirements of the SQE qualification route at the same time.
Here are some of the ways in which the Freedom Law Clinic provides QWE to its students: Access to the clinic’s own casework: Students have the opportunity to complete casework online under the supervision of one of the clinic’s solicitors. This provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a real legal setting.
Access to a database of external QWE opportunities: The clinic maintains a database of external QWE opportunities, which is constantly updated. This allows students to explore a wide range of opportunities and find the best fit for their interests and career goals.
Mentorship and guidance: The clinic provides mentorship and guidance to help students navigate the process of obtaining QWE externally. This includes guidance on how to find opportunities, how to prepare for QWE, and how to make the most of the experience.
Supervision by solicitors: The clinic has a team of solicitors who can supervise students
in obtaining their QWE externally. This ensures that the work being completed externally meets the requirements of QWE and provides valuable experience for students.
