Most aspiring solicitors leave university with legal theory, some work experience, and the pressure of preparing for the SQE, but very little structured support transitioning into real legal practice. Freedom Law Clinic was built to bridge that gap.

This is not a traditional SQE course, and it is not simply an internship. It is a selective practical legal training pathway designed to help aspiring solicitors build the confidence, capability, and professional skills firms actually look for.

Our admissions team will review your application. If we believe you have the potential to thrive on our programme and contribute meaningfully to our clinic, we’ll invite you to an interview via Zoom. Interviews are typically scheduled within two weeks of submission and are an opportunity for us to assess your commitment and capacity to meet the demands of the programme.

We are looking for passion and commitment. You’ll be working with real clients and real cases, and that means showing up — consistently and professionally. You’ll need to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week to the programme.

While our Practical Leagal Training & QWE Pathway is open to all there are costs involved due to the cost we incure for materials and teaching. To join there is a one off fee of £695. Then there is a monthly fee of between £80 and £295 (depending on your progress).

You must have an excellent standard of written and spoken English. While we don’t require formal qualifications, you need to be able to absorb complex legal information and explain it with clarity and precision.

From day one, we treat you like a lawyer — and we expect you to behave like one. This means turning up on time, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly and promptly about client work.
