What we do
The Freedom Law clinic is a unique Community Interest Company.
We offer pro-bono and alternatively funded legal help to a range of people who can't fund their case themselves. We fund our work through teaching the public about law, criminal justice and civil liberties.
We use students working under the guidance of expert lawyers to deliver excellent legal help to our clients. Our courses provide the perfect introduction to the legal system and to legal practice.
We deliver legal education that changes the world.
We believe in civil liberties. We believe in protecting the presumption of innocence. We believe in inspiring the next generation of lawyers to fight for a justice system that protects freedom.
Students work on real cases. Clients get free help. Lawyers get access to interesting and rewarding pro-bono case work. The public receive insight into how the justice system is working.
We are supported by our committed student caseworkers who are recruited through a unique process. We use legal education to motivate the next generation of lawyers in the fight for greater freedom in the legal system.
